As I approached Hotel Talisman in Ponta Delgada, I was immediately struck by the stunning Church of Saint Sebastian just a few hundred meters down the road. The hotel's close proximity to this grand and awe-inspiring religious landmark made me feel as though I was staying in the very heart of the city's rich culture and history. It was a reminder of the deep Catholic roots of the island and the role that religion has played in shaping its traditions and way of life.
As I explored the area around the hotel, I was delighted to discover the charming Igreja do Santo Cristo just a stone's throw away. This small but beautiful chapel is known for its revered image of the Santo Cristo, which attracts throngs of pilgrims each year. It was a pleasure to discover such a significant piece of local folklore just steps from the hotel, and it accentuated the feeling that I had stumbled upon something truly authentic and special.
Finally, I was drawn to the peace and tranquility of the Church of Sao Pedro, just under a kilometer from the hotel. Located in a more residential area, this quiet church offers a serene and intimate space for visitors to reflect and connect with their faith. Its subtle and unassuming presence was a contrast to the grandeur of Saint Sebastian and Santo Cristo, but its understated beauty and simplicity were just as moving and memorable. All in all, the Hotel Talisman's prime location amongst these significant landmarks made my stay that much more meaningful and memorable.

The rooms are decent size with great breakfast, everything is great. Would come there again for one night, appreciated this place.
This hotel is perfect and overall clean with incredible location in the historical center and hospitable staff.
The hotel was perfect and pleasant, and the staff were caring, appreciated the fantastic location next to great restaurants and the taxi. The room itself was relaxing, spotless with a view and had essentials I needed. The pool was heated and I had good drinks in the downstairs bar. By the way, I paid EUR 6 per day to get parking lot.
